FAQs

The following answers many of the most commonly asked questions about tattoos.

Does it hurt?

Yes!

I’m 16. If I bring a parent or guardian with me can I get one of those cool koi fish tattoos?

No. Although a consenting parent may be present, we require all clients to be 18 years old to get any tattoos (koi or otherwise).

Is it safe?

Your new tattoo will be applied using new sterilized needles and modern techniques. Every precaution is taken to aid you in healing and getting a lifetime’s enjoyment from your tattoo.

How long does it take to heal?

All tattoos heal at different rates. Diet, rest, and stress all have an effect on how quickly your tattoo will heal. Your tattoo will be applied using sterile equipment and sanitary practices. It will be your responsibility to care for it thereafter. Black Cobra Tattoos can not assume liability for lack of proper follow-up care on your part, or your body’s healing rate.

Might allergies be an issue?

It is possible to be allergic to anything including tattoo inks. Similarly, some people react better to one brand of topical ointment then another. Black Cobra Tattoos can not assume responsibility for how your body reacts to the inks or dressing products used for your new tattoo.

What if I decide I don’t like my tattoo and want it removed. Can you help?

A tattoo is a PERMANENT body marking. Tattoo removal can be very painful, expensive, and may require medical treatment. This type of removal may also cause scarring. If you are not 100% committed to being tattooed, do not get tattooed.

Are there medical conditions that prohibit my ability to get a tattoo?

If you have hemophilia, hepatitis, HIV, diabetes or any medical condition which that may affect your blood circulation or your immune system, please consult your physician prior to tattooing.
